Canvas recently provided a generous donation of over 40 laptops to the Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama, strengthening our decade-long partnership. This contribution will support the club’s computer science pathway for college students as well as launch an Esports program in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning lab. By providing these laptops, Canvas aims to enhance the club's Academic Success Programs, expand technology training, and foster interest in STEM fields among local youth.
The donation was spearheaded by Canvas' Director of IT, D'Andre Crutcher, who personally refurbished the laptops to ensure they were in top working condition. His dedication to the project was particularly meaningful, as he attended the same Boys & Girls Club during his youth. Reflecting on the experience, Crutcher shared, "Seeing all the incredible things they're doing for the kids is truly inspiring. All the work that went into making this happen was absolutely worth it."
The Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama has long provided a safe, supportive environment for young people, empowering them to realize their full potential as responsible, caring citizens. This partnership with Canvas further amplifies their impact on the Huntsville community, particularly in helping youth succeed in the digital age.
